Job Description
The President shall be The Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation and an elected executive member of the Board of Directors of the SA. He/She shall be an ex-officio member of all committees and clubs within jurisdiction of the SA. The incumbent, with the VP shall sign all Bylaws and membership certificates.

Specific Accountabilities
- With the VP appoints:
- Director of Communications
- Director of Ecology and the Environment
- Director of Student Activities/Programmer
- Editor of the Woodland Times

Chair
- To attend all Executive, General, Board and Extra-ordinary (Leadership Development, ect) meetings
- With the VP, supervises all activities of the Board Of Directors and ensures that directors work as a cohesive group, and is responsible for initiation of disciplinary action deemed necessary by the B.O.D. in accordance with articles 1.6,1.7 and 1.8
- Attends CSA meetings and reports to the Student Association regarding CSA activities
- Meets with college President and Academic Team Leaders at least once per semester to maintain communication
- Represents students in dealing with municipal, provincial or federal governments
- Signs cheques, contracts and documents
- Assists with graduation ceremonies, including presentation of diplomas and Student Association awards
- Attends the weekly Board of Directors meeting
- With the VP, is ultimately responsible for acting on suggestions, complaints, or criticism from students, with B.O.D.’s approval
- Liaise with General Manager to ensure relevant and pertinent student issues are dealt with so the General Manager can pass along historical perspective to the future SA
- Assist in planning the itinerary for changeover and ensures Directors complete their end of season reports and part take in job shadowing with new incumbent
- Attends Presidents Advisory Committee meetings (formally College Council ) to be up to date on College issues and make contacts important to the SA and student body
- Liaise with Board of Governor’s representative and President Advisory Council Representative and invite said representative to no less than one SA meetings per month. § Submits column to Woodland times, once per issue
- Attend all special functions, fundraisers, and activities as requested by the college and/or SA
- To maintain office files and prepares a year end report by March 31, for the submission to the incoming President
- To assist in the day to day operations of the office and maintain a minimum of 5 office hours per week
- To have working knowledge of the Student Rights and Responsibilities and become Harassment and Discrimination Prevention Trained
- President or delegate must be able to work full time as the Summer Director of the SA
- To be the main contact with the Haliburton campus representative and give direction when needed.
- Take part in all SA organized functions and events

Job Description
The VP shall be an elected executive member of the Board of Directors of the SA. He/She will oversee the appointed committees and clubs within jurisdiction of the SA. The incumbent, with the President, shall sign all bylaws and memberships.

Specific Accountabilities:

- Meets with President once a week to be updated and to update
- Meets with GM and President once a week for updates on the Board, issues, and events etc.
- Works with GM in the preparation of the Company’s annual budget (with subsidiaries)
- To assist GM as required by reviewing and initiating financial transactions.
- Attend meetings to review day to day operations of the Auk’s Lodge and establish programming of events with the Auk’s Lodge committee.
- Acts as the agent of the SA in the signing of contracts for bands, entertainment and production services, in coordination with the Bar Manager or GM
- Generates and monitors the student activities budget in coordination with the Director of Student Activities/Programmer.
- Prepares a rough budget with the Director of Student Activities/Programmer for all events taking place throughout the school year prior to the event.
- Liaise with the GM to ensure necessary financial records are maintained.
- Develop and present annual budget recommendations and advise the Board of Directors on major financial matters pertaining to the Auk’s Lodge with GM.
- Maintains office files and prepares year-end report by March 31, to be forwarded to the incoming
- Have a working knowledge of the Student Rights and responsibilities and become harassment and discrimination prevention trained.
- Help promote Student Association events.
- Assist in the Day to Day operations of the office minimum of 5hrs per week

Job Description
The Director of Communication shall be an appointed member of the Board of Directors. He/She is responsible for initiation and organization of all SA communications that shall include the newspaper and other forms of communication designated by the board.

Specific accountabilities:
- Promotes SA to the membership, the administration and the community
- Plans, organizes and posts advertisements for all SA activities and Auks Lodge events via posters, display cabinets, newspaper and emails.
- Maintains bulletin boards as per college policy
- Approve or make suggestions to Program Presidents or student posters in compliance to signage and posting rules.
- Promotes Auk’s Lodge events in accordance with AGCO regulations and College regulations
- Liaise with General Manager and Bar Manager
- Create a new display for the display case at least twice per semester
- Creates and forwards relevant emails to the students and SA staff regarding campus events
- Has direct involvement with the Woodland Times including the design, layout and distribution of the newspaper.
- Creates and presents a detailed Woodland Times budget to the VP for final approval by the SA
- Oversees advertisement for the Woodland Times
- With the Office Administrator, recruit volunteers for a Woodland Times committee at the beginning of the school year
- Write editorial and/or comment pieces for the Woodland Times

Job Description
Ecology is defined as the specific study of living things in relation to each other and their environment. Let the environment be defined as the surroundings, especially those that affect people’s lives. The director of Ecology and the Environment shall be an appointed member of the Board of Directors. He/she shall be responsible for initiating, implementing, and advocating for ecological and environmental issues at the Frost Campus.

Specific Accountabilities:
- Through consultation with membership, submit to the Student Association for appropriate follow-up information regarding on-campus and local environmental issues, which effect Frost Campus students.
- Present to the SA possible solutions to on-campus and local environmental issues.
- Liaise with Student Sustainability Coordinator and The Frost Initiative group to coordinate and plan events.
- Liaise with established groups on campus and in the community on environmental issues.
- Assist the Chair with the Good Food Box Program.
- Assist with day to day operations of the SA office and maintain a minimum of 5 office hours per week.
- Assist all staff with environmental friendly practices.
- Increase awareness on campus about recycling, composting and waste management on campus, in order to minimize the amount of recyclables.
- Work with residence and Student Life staff to organize a Campus Clean-up each year and ensure environmentally sound events.
- Work with the Friends of the Osprey to recruit students to help with nesting platform maintenance and construction.
- Work with Kawartha Conservation to organize student participation in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup.
- Promote National Forestry Week on campus.
- Promote student involvement in the Community Garden.
- Promote Waste Reduction Week on campus – October 22-26
- Help SA with SnoFest activities.
- Assist with the coordinating Enviro-thon with community schools and the Victoria County Land Stewardship Council.
- Attend all SA sponsored events.
- Contribute one article per semester that is related to Director’s position to the Woodland Times monthly column.
- Assist the SA at Convocation by encouraging graduates to continue to be environmentally aware
- Help promote any Student Association events.
- To have working knowledge of the Student Rights and Responsibilities and become harassment and discrimination prevention trained
- Attends the weekly SA Board of Directors meetings.

Job Description
The incumbent shall be an appointed member of the Board of Directors. He/She shall chiefly be responsible for the initiation of non alcohol related activities and events. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining effective communication and relations with the student body.

Specific Accountabilities
- Generates and monitors the student activities budget in coordination with the Vice President and General Manager
- Prepares a rough budget for all events taking place throughout the school year at least 2 weeks prior to the event
- Submits a cheque request to the VP at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the event, having already submitted a budget with approval
- With the assistance from the VP, gives a detailed report of actual spending and actual revenues at the following SA meeting after the event.
- Ensures General Manager and Vice President approve budget before the signing of any contracts
- Plans, organizes and coordinates events to be run during common hour
- Plans, organizes and coordinates at least one on-campus social event per month
- Organizes and coordinates orientation week well in advance and submits the plan to the orientation committee for final approval
- Organizes and promotes at the discretion of the Board, no less than 2 community fundraisers per year and seeks out, encourages and promotes participation of students in said community events
- Provides to the Director of Communications a monthly calendar of events for advertisement
- Submits requests for mass e-mails to Director of Communications one week prior to the event
- Advises and keeps a record of all Frost Campus clubs and committees and their memberships
- Maintains a list of Program Presidents and ensures 75% program representation through Program Presidents and inform the presidents of SA relative information
- Organizes, promotes and Chairs a monthly Program Presidents meeting
- Prepare Program President packages for nomination and also to create a Sno’Fest Team
- To maintain office files and prepare a year end report by March 31, for the submission to the incoming SA
- With the assistance of the Board, organizes, promotes and prepares SnoFest activities.

Editor of the Woodland Times shall be an appointed member of the Board of Directors. He/She is responsible for the publication of the Woodland Times at Frost Campus.

Specific Accountabilities:
- Produces a monthly publication of the Woodland Times within the first 5 days of the calendar month during the school year.
- Edits material deemed illegal or damaging to the Student Association and its constituents
- Ensures layout of all articles, advertising and pictures are interesting and appropriate
- Writes an editorial (Editors Corner) in each production
- Encourages students, faculty and staff contributions in all publications
- Take photos and arranges interviews at all SA events and other events of interest for the newspaper
- Assists with securing advertising to help compensate production costs
- With the Office Administrator and the Director of Communications recruits and trains all volunteers for a Woodland Times committee at the beginning of the school year.
- Familiarization and compliance with the legalities of publication of a newspaper.
- Liaises with the Board of Directors for content of the newspaper
- Assists with the day to day operations of the office and maintains a minimum of five (5) office hours per week

Job Description
The incumbent shall be an appointed member of the Board of Directors. He/She shall be responsible to the President. 

Specific Accountabilities 
- To attend and chair all Board, General and extra-ordinary (Leadership development etc…) meetings.
- Chair is also responsible for maintaining continuous flow and direction of the above meetings to ensure effectiveness (as outlined in Robert’s Rules of Order).
- Arranges the Board of Director’s weekly meeting times according to their schedule each semester.
- Ensure legal minutes in the binder and give to auditors in June
- To assemble and prioritize items due for consideration from previous meetings, and any entries to be placed on the agenda by the set deadline.
- To type and prepare the agenda at least two days prior to the date of the respective meetings.
- To advise the Program Presidents and the general membership of all the general meetings and any extra-ordinary meetings.
- To assist all other Board Members as needed.
- To book rooms as required for the Board of Directors meetings, and the general meeting.
- To type a draft copy of the minutes and distribute for approval within three days of the meeting date.
- To ensure the complete copy of the minutes are submitted to the business manager at fiscal year end.
- To type the Constitution, amendments and policies as required.
- To maintain electronic copies of the Constitution, Job Descriptions, and policy book and keep copies of the said disk in the safe.
- Organize a blood donor clinic with the General Manager once a year.
- Prepare information for the incoming Chair change-over and prepare for the job-shadowing week.
- Maintain office files and prepare a year-end report by March 31 for submission to the incoming.

- Be the Chief Returning Officer for Elections in January of each year.
- To hold a position on College Council.
